Interstate 5 North
Go North on Mission Blvd and take a right on Grand Avenue (at the stop light and there will be a Starbucks and Ralph’s on your right). Take a slight left onto Balboa and Balboa will become Garnet. Take a left onto Mission Bay Drive (at the stop light and there will be a Washington Mutual on your right). Merge onto I-5.
Interstate 5 South
Go South on Mission Blvd and turn left (east) onto W Mission Bay Dr (at the stoplight – the roller coaster will be on the west). Take the ramp toward Sports Arena Blvd and merge onto W Mission Bay Dr. which becomes Sports Arena Blvd. Merge onto I-8 East and then merge onto I-5 South.
Balboa Park

This magnificent 1,200 acre city park is home to the zoo, 14 museums, a pipe organ pavilion, botanical gardens, a theatre, an antique carousel, and a miniature-scale train.
Take I-5 South and then take CA-163 N/10th Ave exit towards Escondido. Take the 10th Ave exit and make a slight left onto 10th Ave. Turn left on A St and left on Park Blvd. (about 15 minutes and 9 miles) *Or you can follow the signs once on I-5.
Birch Aquarium at Scripps

Take Interstate 5 North and exit at La Jolla Village Drive, head west. La Jolla Village Drive will become North Torrey Pines Road. Turn left on Expedition Way. Parking is to your left at the bottom of the hill. (about 16 minutes and 9.5 miles)
The Aquarium is open daily (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) from 9 am to 5 pm.
Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma Lighthouse

The monument has a breathtaking 360 degree view of San Diego. And, there is the original lighthouse onsite. There are also tide pools, a museum, and hiking trails.
Go South on Mission Blvd & turn left on W Mission Bay Dr. Merge onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd & make a slight left turn on Nimitz Blvd. Turn right on Chatsworth Blvd & turn left on Catalina Blvd, which becomes Cabrillo Memorial Dr. (about 20 minutes & 9 miles)
Disneyland

Take I-5 North and exit at Harbor Blvd towards Ball Rd. Turn right onto S Harbor Blvd and turn left onto W Ball Rd.
Turn left onto S Disneyland Drive. (about 1.5 hours and 90 miles)
Fashion Valley Mall

An elegant outdoor mall completely renovated in 1997. It is the main hub for upscale and designer shopping, and is your best stop for serious shopping. The mall has 200 stores, 7 restaurants, a food court, and a movie theatre.
The mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 9 pm and 11 am to 7 pm on Sundays.
Go South on Mission Blvd & turn left on W Mission Bay Drive. Take the ramp towards Sports Arena Blvd & merge onto W Mission Bay Dr. Merge onto Sea World Drive toward I-5 North. Turn right on Friars Rd. (about 12 mins and 6.5 miles)
The Gaslamp Quarter www.gaslamp.org
This area is the heart of downtown and is eight blocks long and two blocks wide. There are about 100 restaurants,
coffeehouses, and night clubs and another 100 shops and galleries in the Gaslamp District.
Take I-5 South and take the Front Street/Civic Center exit. Continue on Front Street and turn left onto Market St.
The intersection of 5th and Market is the center of the Gaslamp Quarter. You will find metered spots, parking lots, and
parking garages. (about 10 minutes and 8 miles)
La Jolla Cove

This is one of the best locations for snorkeling and scuba diving, and is only for swimmers and divers.
Go North on Mission Blvd and turn left onto La Jolla Blvd. Turn right onto Coast Blvd S and turn left onto Coast Blvd. (about 13 minutes and 5 miles)
Legoland

Take I-5 North and exit at Cannon Rd. Turn right onto Cannon Rd and then turn right onto Legoland Dr. Pass through 1 roundabout. (about 34 minutes and 29 miles)
Hours vary - they open at 10 am & close at 5, 6, 7, or 8 pm. From Sept through Dec the park is closed on Tues & Wed.
Mission Bay Sport Center

The facility is 7,000 square feet and is known for beach and water oriented activities. You can rent sail boats, catamarans, sailboards, kayaks, jet skis, and power boats for an hour, four hours, or a full day.
Turn East onto Santa Clara from the stoplight on Mission Blvd.
San Diego Zoo

Take I-5 South. Merge onto CA-163 North toward Escondido. Take the Richmond St exit toward Zoo-Museums. Stay straight to go onto Richmond St and turn right onto Upas St. Then turn right onto Park Blvd and right onto Zoo Dr. (about 16 minutes and 10 miles)
Seaport Village

The village is a leisurely walk from the Gaslamp Quarter and has 75 specialty shops and 16 restaurants. There are wonderful views of the bay and the Coronado Bridge. Seaport Village also has a carousel from the 1890s.
Take I-5 South and take the Front Street exit. Turn right onto Ash Street and turn left onto Pacific Highway which ends at Seaport Village.
Open daily from 10 am to 9 pm. Restaurants have extended hours.
Sea World

Go South on Mission Blvd and turn left onto W Mission Bay Dr (at the stoplight – the roller coaster is on the west).
Take the exit ramp on the left for Ingraham. Take a right on Perez Cove Way and keep following the signs. (about 5min)
Torrey Pines Golf Course

Take I-5 North and then take the Genesee Ave exit (#29). Turn left and stay on Genesee as it curves right and becomes N Torrey Pines Rd. Turn right at the large green Golf Course sign onto Callan Rd. Turn right at the stop sign. (about 18 min & 11.5 miles)
The Wild Animal Park

Take I-5 North and merge onto CA-52 East via exit 26B toward San Clemente Canyon. Take the Kearny Villa
Rd/Junction I-15 exit. Then take the Junction I-15 exit on the left and merge into I-15 North via the exit on the
left. Take the Via Rancho Parkway exit and turn right onto E Via Rancho Pkwy which becomes Bear Valley Parkway S.
Turn right onto San Pasqual Rd then turn right onto San Pasqual Valley Rd/CA-78. (about 41 minutes and 34 miles)
