Professional Design: Because every website we build is unique in its requirements and design, the cost will vary. In your free website consultation, we will gather information to assist in providing you with a fixed price proposal. You will know exactly what is included in the proposal price and we guarantee that there will be no “hidden costs.” You can learn more about our design package and services here. To provide you with a reference point, “basic” websites (4 to 5 static pages with no more than 2 images per page) normally range from $400 to $500. For more advanced functionality and scripting requirements, sites can exceed $1000.

The major factors that determine the cost are:

Right Arrow Number of pages

Right Arrow Number of images

Right Arrow Advanced scripting requirements (for special effects)

Right Arrow Database functionality

Right Arrow Graphic design

Right Arrow Large amounts of text

Right Arrow Ecommerce requirements

Web Hosting: Please see our glossary of terms to learn more about web hosting. Basically, in order to keep your website on the internet and available for anyone to view, you have to contract with a web host provider for space on their web servers. These fees are generally very small for a basic site and can be as low as $5 per month. We will recommend a web hosting plan that best fits with your website requirements.

Maintenance Fees: Maintenance fees are only billed when you want to upgrade your site (add/remove pages, add/remove services & products, etc.) It is very important to keep your site updated to ensure you have return visitors to your site. You can read more about our maintenance and support services and fees here.

SEO FAQ

What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization is the process of modifying and improving website elements such as the copy and HTML code in order to gain higher rankings with the search engines.

What is “organic” SEO?
Organic SEO is the process of optimizing your site so that it receives “natural” results with the search engines.  It should ideally require you to spend less on paying for links, paying for clicks, and paying for additional online advertising.  Step one of any search engine optimization or search engine marketing campaign should be to inject your site with your top keyword phrases into all the proper places that will get them noticed by the search engines. We specialize in using these techniques to achieve lasting placement in the search engines.

How can I track my website visitors?
Google Analytics provides a wonderful (and free) tool for analyzing who is visiting your site, what pages they are visiting, how they arrived at your site, and much more. It is very easy to setup and requires adding a small piece of code to each page that you want to track (which we will add for you, free of charge). We highly recommend this service for everyone who wants to know more about their website visitors. You can signup on the Google Analytics website.

How do the search engines rank websites?
There are many factors that contribute to how the engines rank websites. Some of the factors are: keywords in your page copy, keywords in your page titles, keywords in your meta tags and alt tags, quality and quantity of inbound links, the age of your domain, relevancy of your content as it relates to the keyword phrase, etc. The search engines keep their search algorithm queries top-secret and frequently make changes to their equations that may affect your ranking from time to time.

How do I get to the top of the search engine results?

How much does it cost to have my site optimized?
This depends on several factors including how many keyword phrases you have, how many pages of your site need to be optimized, the level of competitiveness for each of your keyword phrases, and the length and format of your content.

What is PageRank and how does it work?
One big way in which search engines are granting importance to web pages are based on how many other sites are linking to it. PageRank is a system implemented by Google that measures web page's importance with only taking into account the links and links related factors. The other big search engines (Yahoo, MSN) probably have a similar system but without an official measurement. The basics are that each web page is giving votes to the links on that page and the power of the vote is determined by the number of links pointing to the page that gives the vote. The votes are divided among the links on the page so the lesser number of links, the more share of the vote is given to each link. Internal links are given a higher share than external. The scale is between 0-10 but in fact it has many decimals which we cannot see. 0-3 is the most common, 4 is obtained by getting an amount of links and 5 takes some work to get. Only a short list of sites on the internet has PageRank 10.

What is link building and why do I need it?
The search engines factor in the quality, relevance, and quantity of links that link to your site. Obtaining inbound links to your site from other quality sites tells the search engines that your site must have quality, unique content, which in theory, would help your ranking. The search engines strongly recommend against any kind of link building schemes whose sole purpose is to increase their pagerank or overall rank. The key is creating good content that would encourage others to link to your site.

How can I get more links to my site?
The best way to get more links to your site is through internet research and perseverance. In order to find sites that are relevant to yours and allow you to post a link on, you can perform the following searches: Replace the keyword with the phrase you are targeting:

keyword "add url"
keyword "add site"
keyword "submit site"
keyword "submit url"

You can also perform the following query on Google:

intitle:add+url OR intitle:submit+your+site OR intitle:add+your+site "your keyword"

If you perform these searches for various keywords you will find plenty of sites that will allow you to post your link on and that are related as well. You may also submit to directories. This is a long and hard process but it is an easy and free way to get some incoming links to your site.

Another proven successful way is to write an article about a subject you know. When you finish the article you write a short bio about yourself in the end with a link to your site and then you submit it to article submission sites. You can find lists of such sites on various places with up to 100 places you can submit your article. Ideally, they will accept your article and publish it on their site and each one will have a link back to you. If you provided a high quality article that they find would be of value to others, it is likely that your article will get published on authority pages and your page with the article will have some PageRank as well.

What is SEM?
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is term that describes marketing a Web site using various techniques to make it more visible on search engines. Search Engine Marketing techniques include search engine optimization (SEO), buying Pay Per Click (PPC) ads or using a combination of both of these options.

What is Pay Per Click (PPC)?
PPC ads are sponsored listings were the advertiser pays the search engine each time the ad is clicked on. Search engines offer this option so that you can get your ad / website to the top of the paid listings area.

What can I do to improve my rankings?
Try to add 5 new inbound links to your website per month. Review your Google Analytics reports to determine what your customers are interested in and what they are not. Make modifications to your website based on these results. Ensure you are updating your content to keep it fresh, accurate, and unique.
